Finally I finished the Kimono Shawl! This is made with handspun two-ply yarn on #4 needles. The wool is from Twin Bridges, Montana. Now to decide what lucky person might become the owner of this...

Here are some photos of our new place. It is rather large for a studio and actually has this strange queen bed sized extra room that we are sleeping in....kind of like sleeping in a coffin. At least it has a window. Something I realized while moving is that I have 5 aprons. 4 of which have come from the Pagrabs family in one way or another. So note that we are all wearing aprons in these pictures. I am wearing one...it has a kingfisher on it...only you can't see it because I took the pictures.
Well we are moving again. If you have the address 622 East Davis written down anywhere for my address please erase, cross out, delete. I'm not giving out the new address unless you are coming to visit and need to find my apartment building. Please use my P.O. Box instead.
My knitting (and spinning) buddy Molly is in town so we hosted my first ever craft night at my house. So exciting! Molly and Genevieve both finished a hat (Genevieve's first!) and I made minimal progress on my shawl. Molly was working on a hat made from some of my handspun that I originally thought was super ugly and I loved the hat so much she gave it to me. I wish so much that I could post movies here because Genevieve shot a movie of Molly and I analyzing her finished hat which was just classic. Obsessive knitters talking about their work. We started off the evening with a soak at Norris Hot Springs. I can't quite imagine a more perfect evening or a better way to keep my mind off the fact that Ryan is coming home on Thursday!
Here is what I learned on my trip to San Diego:
